Hi all. Been feeding the hedgehogs Hedgehog food in a metal dish. We’ve noticed next day the empty dish has a big ish single sizeable pebble in it. Seems too big or heavy for a bird say a magpie. Does anyone know what this means? It’s happened quite a few times.

Have seen video on youtube of this, but for bird food. The culprit were mice. Trying to hide the food from others. Hope this helps. They would cover the food with stones, lots of them.
