Looking for some advice please as I’m getting a little worried about the safety of our visiting hogs
We moved into our house last year, the house next door is empty and garden overgrown. We have a few hogs that visit our small garden each night and I leave dry food and water for them. I’m certain one or more are nesting in the garden next door as I heard some snuffling during the day recently
I’ve been told the house will be sold soon and the garden will be cut back. I’ll put signs up on the fence advising of the hogs and to check before cutting back. If I see anyone there I’ll speak to them at the time as well
I’m worried for our little hogs and their likely nest disturbance. What can I do to help them?
I have a hog house used as a feeding station
I’ll get another and fill with straw for our garden but it’s only a small garden and we have a toddler so not sure how much peace they’ll get if they relocate here
We back onto a green so if disturbed hopefully then can flee there
I caught some mating a couple of weeks ago – how long before hoglets are likely to arrive?
