I placed a bought hedgehog house in the garden two years And this year it has been occupied for the first time. I had sighting of 3 hedgehogs about a month ago. However now just two regularly visit my garden. One very much larger than the other. One comes in under the side gate at 10.45pm most nights. The other I believe is living in the house.
As I’m away a lot I’ve invested in a battery operated auto feeder to dispense their nightly feed. Along with a water dispenser and the clear plastic box I’ve fashioned into a feeding station they are well looked after. My next purchase / present will be a camera to be able to watch their movements.

    Hi Anmagilly

That’s great news that the hogs are using the hog house. Some hogs are reluctant to use them until they become part of the scenery, so it isn’t all that unusual for them to be empty for a couple of years. Better late than never!

That’s really interesting that you’re using auto food/water dispensers – sometimes there are questions on the forum about how well they work, but it sounds as if they are working well for you.

Good luck with the camera acquisition and happy hog watching.
