I was so happy last night, I saw a Mother Hedgehog with her young baby by our front door, they spent ages rustling in the leaves. So we put some food down, which she found immediately and ate it all. She then crossed the road(!) then came back again and after about half hour they disappeared off into the undergrowth!!

    Hi ALISON

You are so lucky seeing a Mother hog and baby! It is always a worry when they cross the road, but glad to hear she got back safely. Last year there was a hog who visited here who used to cross the road every night – presumably twice – but she obviously had her timings worked out. She was back again this year. Hope the little hog family manage to negotiate all the obstacles they come across and continue spreading happiness.
