Unexpected Visitor 2024

Earlier in the year i decided to start collecting leaves which i built up by the fence no think that i’ll get a hoggy in the garden again.
This morning i went down the garden thinking i was going to get rid of the leaves only to find i have a hoggy in the middle of it, after carefully having a look i covered her back up.
We then found a sheet of ply wood and covered her in so she’ll be warm and dry before she emergesin spring.
I was hoping to send picture as well but dont remember how to do it ??
Hi Lesley
Thanks for telling us about the hedgehog – it just shows, if they have access to, in this case leaves, they are more likely to ‘appear’. Too often we humans tidy natural materials away so the hogs can’t access them. But it’s also a cautionary tail about being careful when moving piles of vegetation. So it’s a lovely story! I’m so pleased that you seem pleased about this hog, too. Well done for providing a nest fot him/her!
Fingers crossed for the hog for a successful hibernation. Good luck.
