That’s great news that you’ve had 7 hedgehogs visiting! How lovely.
Not sure whether you mean all at once or in ones, or small numbers during a night. 7 at once is not that usual, other than when hoglets are around – as hogs are normally solitary animals, unless food has been offered, when they will sometimes congregate. If they came separately, it’s nice to know there are that many around, but it doesn’t seem surprising.
People often have more hedgehogs visiting than they realise, but equally it’s easy to think there are more than there are, as hogs will often make several visits during a night. But maybe you have learnt to identify the 7 different hogs by their natural markings? That’s easier than it sounds and is the ideal situation because then you can be sure they are different ones.
It’s great fun to watch their behaviour if more than one turns up at the same time. Good luck with them all and happy hog watching!
