White spots on new boys face
-
Hi,
I posted here a few days ago but presumably because I linked to external images my post never displayed.
So, we have a new hog, he’s been around about 3 weeks and the other day I noticed white spots on his cheeks, the best way to describe them is like human yellowheads (they were the external pictures). Anyone have any idea what they are?
Cheers in advance.
Possibly Ticks as they often carry them.
It’s also often a sign of a sick hog if it has lots that is doesn’t try to scratch off
Worth contacting your nearest carer and showing them the pics/getting advice
