    I don’t want poison, but (after making enquiries) that’s the most efficient way

    Hi. I know this thread is from last November, but I am interested on where you found that particular information.

    When I researched the topic some years back as we thought we had a rat in the attic everything I read said poison was not an effective method of getting rid of the problem.

    As a side note our rodent turned out to be a field mouse – live trapped the first night using peanut butter and relevant humane trap.

    Though I do occasionally see a big rat on trail camera when positioned on outside fence adjacent land “rat run”.
